How It Works
After-The-Bell is a FREE after-school program for middle school students in the Kennett Consolidated School District. The 501(c)(3) non-profit, Kennett After-School Association, sponsors After-The-Bell to provide a fun learning experience in a safe, structured environment. Students are provided an after-school snack, participate in their activities, and then are offered a bus ride home—all at no cost to families, taxpayers or the school district.
This program is unique to KCSD and has been made possible due to the generosity and dedication of foundations, local businesses, and community members who have donated both time and financial resources. The Kennett After-School Association coordinates these efforts to provide After-The-Bell FREE to all students.
After-The-Bell also has over 30 fun on-demand virtual activities on our website that are open to all and do not require registration. You can view and participate at any time that works for you and your family! These activities include Cooking Classes, Robotics, Arts & Crafts, many Exercise Classes, STEM activities, and many more! For Winter 2021 the After-The-Bell Virtual "Live" Zoom programs will run from 3:30pm to 4:30pm on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. We will be offering LIVE activities starting on January 26th. Click here to register.

Activities are run by the After-The-Bell staff along with generous volunteers from our community and are assisted by high school and college students. Many volunteers are current teachers, retired educators, parents/grandparents, and community members looking to give back. For more information on volunteering, click here.
