25th Anniversary Celebration

After-The-Bell is 25 years old!

Since we were founded in 1998, After-The-Bell has provided amazing and memorable experiences to thousands of middle-school-aged children in the Kennett area.

Over the course of the year, we hosted a number of events and
commemorations to pay tribute to the amazing volunteers and wonderful students who have made After-The-Bell an integral part of the Kennett Area community of caring for the last quarter century.

On May 12, 2023, we kicked off a yearlong celebration of this tremendous milestone with the return of our signature event, A Taste of Kennett. The event was held where it all began, at the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Kennett Square. We honored the vision of three members of the church who created After-The-Bell when they recognized the need for a safe, nurturing and fun place for adolescent students to go to after school.

As After-The-Bell’s 25th Anniversary commemoration draws to an end this spring, we are focusing on what is next for our program and the students we serve.
