Paola Rosas was born and raised in Mexico City. She moved to the United States in 1998 and immediately became very involved in the local community of Southern Chester County. Paola was a member of Casa Guanajuato in Kennett Square for over 10 years and was elected to the Kennett Consolidated School District Board of Directors, where she served from December 2018 to January 2020. Paola has also served as a board member for La Comunidad Hispana, Bournelyf Special Camp, Longwood Rotary Foundation, and After-The-Bell. She was a Longwood Rotary member for seven years and currently serves as a mentor for Young Moms. Paola has also spent the past 16 years as either a volunteer or in a professional role with both the Boy Scouts of America and the Girl Scouts of the USA. Paola and her husband, Chuck, have lived in the Kennett area since 2001 where they raised their two children, Citlaly and Marco, who are both KHS graduates in 2018 and 2020.

Kathy joined the team in the fall of 2022 after working and volunteering in various coordinator, fundraising, and leadership positions around the community. She has lived in the Kennett School District since 2005 and has raised three boys that enjoyed attending After the Bell while they were at Kennett Middle School. She worked at the Kennett Y and Strengthening Families and was on the board for Kennett’s After Prom and Cub Scout Pack 136 for many years. She has helped with fundraising for Boy Scout Troop 24 and Kennett Amateur Theatrical Society (KATS).  Kathy is currently the President of Kennett Friends of Music, a parent run organization that supports the music and theater programs at the Kennett High School. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering for Free Mom Hugs, LGBTQ+ Mama Bear Groups, visiting the beach, playing board games with her family, hanging out with friends, and watching her children perform.

After serving for four years as Executive Director of After-The-Bell, Kathy stepped into the position of Grant/Document Writer when she moved to Southern Delaware with her husband in the summer of 2018. Kathy assists in the preparation of all grant applications, reports, and related materials. She also leads the team that prepares the Annual Report and provides other written documents at the request of the Executive Director.

Lorena was born and raised in Mexico, moved to PA in 2003 and graduated from Avon Grove High School. Lorena attended California University of PA where she graduated in 2011. Before joining After-The-Bell, Lorena worked as a Program Coordinator for Migrant Education at the CCIU for about six years. After working at the CCIU, she joined The Garage Youth Center as the Graduate Coordinator working on getting high school students ready for post-secondary life. Outside of helping her community and working with students in after-school programs, Lorena enjoys reading and spending time with her husband, Antonio, and two beautiful, young daughters.

Amanda is happy to join the After-The-Bell team.

Leticia is excited to be working with After-The-Bell, and is committed to the mission of providing fun and educational after-school activities for the students. Leticia has dedicated her time as a community volunteer to helping underrepresented children and Spanish-speaking families access educational opportunities. Over the years, she has also enjoyed coaching LEGO robotics, providing interpretation in schools, and supporting various school enrichment programs.

Darlene is excited to be contributing to the After-The-Bell organization and all the students and families it serves.
