4-H Basic Sewing

Build confidence using a sewing machine. You’ll learn stitching basics, fabric selection, and construction techniques while prac-ticing safe equipment use.

Explore the power behind every day life. Sessions will highlight energy use, practical applications, and essential safety practices, building a strong foundation for future interests in engineering, electronics, and skilled trades.

Art Studio

Experiment with a variety of art mediums and techniques such as collage, mixed media, markers, pastels or paint to create artwork that is uniquely you!

Board Games

Checkers, Battleship, The Game of Life, Risk, UNO, Monopoly, Connect4 & so many others. Make new friends while playing your favorite board games.

Build it. Power it. Ride it.

Travel to The Kennett Library where you’ll become an engineer– designing and building an electric skateboard from the ground up!

Chess Club

ATB Chess Club is great for Beginners thru
Masters. Learn how the pieces move, common tactics, and how to outmaneuver
and out-think your opponent. Use your queen to wreak havoc on your opponent
and ultimately force their King to surrender!

Crochet

Learn how to crochet. Using vibrant colors, make your crochet projects like scarves, blankets and more.

Do you want to relax and listen to your music while creating beautiful diamond art? This is the activity for you!

Drama Improv Club

Have you ever wanted to be an actor? Do
you have trouble with speaking in front of people or maybe even just raising
your hand in class? Or maybe you are already a theater buff and just want to get
the opportunity to show off your skills? Drama improvisation will teach you acting
and public speaking skills without having to remember any lines. You just make it
up as you go! We will learn, play games, practice speaking in front of people, be
goofy, and most importantly, have fun!

Dungeons and Dragons Campaign—Tyranny of Dragons

Beginner adventurers are needed to bring this storytelling adventure to life. We will use our imaginations to make daring choices while we explore fantastic realms to save the Sword Coast. All activities reinforce language arts, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Fashion and Fiber Arts

Love all things fashion, style, and upcycling? Learn the basics of customizing your clothes and accessories through the use of yarn, fabric, printmaking, dye and more!

Fishing

Travel to Anson Nixon Park to try out your fishing skills. We will learn about equipment, casting styles, the patterns of the fish, and more. Fishing poles and all equipment are provided! Please wear appropriate outdoor clothes

Floral Design

Join the 4 Seasons Gardening Club in this creative introduction to Floral Design. Join us to make your own beautiful floral masterpieces. If you have taken this before—you are welcome to take it again.

Friends Home

Do you like serving others? You will be traveling to Friends Home in town to spend time, play board games, and make crafts with their residents. You’ll have fun and make new friends!

Fuel Up Challenge

Every wonder what foods give you the most energy for sports, school and just hangout out? In this challenge, we’ll play games, do taste tests, and bust some food myths while building meals that keep you powered up all day.

Future Aviators

Come fly with us! Join us at New Garden Airfield to build straw rockets, drop egg parachutes and use a NEW real flight simulator, all while learning what keeps an airplane up in the air. At the end of the session, you will receive a certificate for a free flight! (space is extremely limited for this activity, this session)

Giving Garden at KMS

Join KMS’ own Mrs. Mancuso in the KMS Giving Garden to plant, water, harvest/prepare food from the garden for weekly donations to the community. Have fun and take some fresh garden veggies home to your family.

LGBTQ+ Alliance Club

We welcome all students to a supportive, safe and welcoming environment that encourages you to advocate for yourself and/or your LGBTQ+ friends. Your leadership and creative skills will be put to use as we discuss ideas to increase LGBTQ+ awareness and inclusivity within the school and local community. In addition, this club will periodically host LGBTQ+ guest speakers to inspire and share their life and leadership experiences with the group.

Longwood Adventures

Explore a different area of Longwood Gardens each week! Spend time in the brand-new West Conservatory, the Bonsai Court-yard, and the Water Lily Courtyard, checking out amazing plants and trees growing in the gardens! A different fun activity with something to bring home.

Media Literacy & Critical Thinking in the AI Age

Learn how to think critically about information you see online, recognize bias and misinformation, and understand how AI creates and shares content so you can navigate the digital world responsibly.

Join us and learn how to make delicious traditional Mexican dishes while learning new cooking skills!

You will travel to School of Rock in Hockessin to learn the fundamentals of instruments while playing with a band in a positive and fun
atmosphere.

Outdoor Adventures

Learn about the natural world in our backyard. Walk the trails and explore the parks while learning how to keep our natural spaces clean and healthy so everyone can enjoy. Remember to wear sneakers!

Perler Beading

Relax while you create beautiful necklaces, keychains, and even 3-dimensional décor using colorful perler beads. Arrange beads to form patterns and fuse them together to make colorful works of art!

Pickle Ball

Be part of America’s new favorite pastime and learn how to play this exciting game. Paddles, balls, and transportation to Kennett Square
Country Club is provided. Wear tennis shoes or sneakers.

Running Club

Do you enjoy running? Would you like to see if distance running is right for you? How about a chance to lace up your sneakers and have fun? Join Mrs. Keer and have fun! Runners must wear appropriate clothes and sneakers, and please bring a water bottle with your name on it. Happy running!

Silk Dance

Join us at the Youth Garage for a gravity-defying silk dance class. You’ll learn how to wrap, invert, and suspend mid air, blending dance, gymnastics, and circus skills for a full-body workout and lots of fun. If selected for this activity you will require to register with The Youth Garage.

Soccer

Score some goals and join the fun of playing soccer. All levels welcome! SNEAKERS are a must for this activity. No cleats allowed, please.

Swim Club—Beginner

Have fun while learning water safety and how to swim at Delaware Swim School in Hockessin. Be confident and safe in the pool! Please bring bathing suit and a towel. Suits and towels provided if needed.

THRIVE Marketing Project

Learn marketing basics and work together to create your own public health campaign. Designed to positively impact your peers and community, your designs will be used in real world settings, such as a billboard or transit shelter ad. Imagine the good you can do!

Tennis

Learn how to play this exciting game using swings and moves from our tennis pros! Rackets, balls and transportation to Kennett Square Golf & Country Club is provided! Wear tennis shoes or sneakers.

Join us for a lively trivia session filled with fun, and friendly competition! Test your knowledge on topics like pop culture, science, and history. Play solo or in teams and aim for the Trivia Champion title! Don’t miss the fun—everyone’s a winner with trivia!

Where Writing Begins

Every great piece of writing starts with an idea—and this program shows you how to find yours. Idea Lab will help you to overcome your fear of the blank page by combining your everyday experiences with your imagination to find inspiration for stories, poems, and essays. Whether you love writing already or are just starting out, this program gives you a friendly space to develop your ideas and build your confidence as a writer.

Yoga

Practice yoga at KMS. Join in the fun while de-stressing from your classes. Each relaxing class includes yoga poses, breathing exercises, mantra meditation and more. Yoga is open to everyone. No yoga experience required. Mats and towels are provided. Wear comfy clothes. Namaste!
