ATB Chess Club is great for Beginners thru
Masters. Learn how the pieces move, common tactics, and how to outmaneuver
and out-think your opponent. Use your queen to wreak havoc on your opponent
and ultimately force their King to surrender!

Sirens screaming! Lights flashing! What is it like to be a police officer, EMT or Firefighter? Have fun & learn from a police officer and our local fire company.

Have you ever wanted to be an actor? Do
you have trouble with speaking in front of people or maybe even just raising
your hand in class? Or maybe you are already a theater buff and just want to get
the opportunity to show off your skills? Drama improvisation will teach you acting
and public speaking skills without having to remember any lines. You just make it
up as you go! We will learn, play games, practice speaking in front of people, be
goofy, and most importantly, have fun!

Beginner adventurers are needed to bring this storytelling adventure to life. We will use our imaginations to make daring choices while we explore fantastic realms to save the Sword Coast. All activities reinforce language arts, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Join the Brandywine Red Clay Alliance in exploring the outdoors. We will be doing art inspired by nature, learning about owls and
dissecting an owl pellet, studying the Kennett Middle school’s local stream, and taking a walk around the Kennett Middle school getting to know our trees!

Travel to Anson Nixon Park to try out your fishing skills. We will learn about equipment, casting styles, the patterns of the fish, and more. Fishing poles and all equipment are provided! Please wear appropriate outdoor clothes

Do you like serving others? You will be traveling to Friends Home in town to spend time, play board games, and make crafts with their residents. You’ll have fun and make new friends!

Every wonder what foods give you the most energy for sports, school and just hangout out? In this challenge, we’ll play games, do taste tests, and bust some food myths while building meals that keep you powered up all day.

Join KMS’ own Mrs. Mancuso in the KMS Giving Garden to plant, water, harvest/prepare food from the garden for weekly donations to the community. Have fun and take some fresh garden veggies home to your family.

Retired teachers will be available each day to assist students with homework and projects. No registration required, students will be al-lowed to go back to their scheduled activity after completing homework.

Each week DelMNS Staff will bring the fun of a field trip to you! We offer exciting, hands-on programming through engaging
discussion, live animal presentations, relevant specimens, and props.

You will travel to School of Rock in Hockessin to learn the fundamentals of instruments while playing with a band in a positive and fun

Join Kennett Trails Alliance and learn about the natural world in our backyard. Walk the trails and explore the parks while learning how
to keep our natural spaces clean and healthy so everyone can enjoy. Remember to wear sneakers!

Ready, Set, Print! (WEDNESDAY) In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to turn your designs into repeatable art using all kinds of awesome techniques — from foam plates and linoleum carving to the magical blue world of cyanotype prints.

Do you enjoy running? Would you like to see if distance running is right for you? How about a chance to lace up your sneakers and have fun? Join Mrs. Keer and have fun! Runners must wear appropriate clothes and sneakers, and please bring a water bottle with your name on it. Happy running!

Salsa Dancing (THURSDAY) Get ready to move your feet and feel the rhythm as we learn the fun steps of salsa dancing!

Learn to cook many kinds of fish and shellfish. One of the great things about seafood is that it is easy and yummy! Learn ways to cook that give you skills that to walk into the kitchen and fix yourself a broiled salmon or a sea bass taco (by the way, this is your instructor’s favorite breakfast). Here’s a bonus-you get to eat everything you and your classmates make! For those with food allergy concerns: we will cook many different shellfish, we will use dairy products frequently, and we’ll use nuts occasionally.

In this hands-on class, you’ll design, build, and bind your very own sketchbook! Then, get ready to fill it with fun drawing exercises, creative prompts, and new artistic techniques. You'll use your custom sketchbook to experiment, brainstorm, and plan future masterpieces. Whether you love doodling or dream of big projects, this is your space to let creativity flow!
