3rd Annual A Taste of Kennett Cancelled

After-The-Bell is sad to announce that we will be cancelling the 3rd Annual A Taste of Kennett, which was rescheduled for October 10th after the original March date was postponed due to the pandemic. If you have purchased a ticket, and would like a refund, please email us at afterthebell@kcsd.org. Other options are to request a partial refund or donate your ticket cost to After-The-Bell. For those who choose to donate all or part of their ticket price to After-The-Bell, the funds will be utilized to help us provide exciting, meaningful, live and virtual activities to students this Fall and beyond - thank you! While our event is canceled for this year, we are looking forward to the time when we can all celebrate our community at the After-The-Bell - A Taste of Kennett in 2021! After-The-Bell is committed to providing wonderful after-school activities for families and students.  After-The-Bell went virtual in April with more than 30 interactive, educational and really fun activities available on our newly redesigned website. In collaborating with over 10 community partners, we are offering activities that include Arts & CraftsStorytime & YogaDrawing & ColoringCommunity Garden Craft, We are also offering science, engineering, nature, fitness, and cooking (in English and in Spanish). We have partnered with The Garage to offer 1-on-1 tutoring for any students who need extra help with school work, particularly those who may be struggling with online learning. We are super proud of the Virtual Programming and have shared this opportunity with surrounding school districts, with great reviews!  We have had over 1000 new visitors to our website!!   Check it out at https://www.afterthebell.org/virtual-atb

We will be running an enhanced virtual program for the Fall by offering our virtual programming and many "live" Zoom classes for students. Many classes include sending materials and supplies to students via mail or via pick up at KMS so that they may fully participate at home.  Thank you for your continued support in helping us offer these activities to students and bringing some normalcy to their days! We miss seeing our community and our friends, and look forward to the time when we will all get together again.  Please stay safe and healthy! Dawn
